of the unadulterated teaching of those who are pleasing to God! David, having prophesied, concealed the meaning under the letter; the children, having opened the treasure, brought the wealth to their tongue, and with a word full of grace piercingly called all together to its enjoyment. Let us therefore also draw with them the inalienable wealth, storing up the gifts of grace in insatiable bosoms and storerooms; let us shout endlessly, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, true God, almighty from almighty, Son in the name of the Father, true king, from a true king, having a kingdom co-eternal and pre-eternal, as the one who begot him. For the kingdom is common, and the Word does not assign its honor to the Son from without, neither as having a beginning nor as being added nor as being diminished, far from it, but as truly natural and his own possession.

For there is one kingdom of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, just as there is also one essence and one lordship. Wherefore also with one worship let us serve one three-hypostatic Godhead, without beginning, uncreated, infinite, and without successor. For neither will the Father ever cease from being Father, nor the Son from being Son and 59.707 king; so neither will the Holy Spirit from being that which it is in its hypostasis. For nothing of the Trinity will be diminished, or will ever cease either from eternity, or from commonality and kingship. For not because the Son of God became man for us, and conquered the tyrant over us, accomplishing this victory in the flesh against its hostile enemy, was he for this reason named king, but because he is always Lord and God, for this reason he is king, as the one who begot him, and now, with his assumption, and forever. Do not blaspheme the kingdom of Christ, O heretic, lest you dishonor the one who begot him. If you are faithful, approach Christ our true God, and not having freedom as a cloak for wickedness. If you are a slave, be subject to the Master with fear. For the disputer of words is not well-disposed, but a manifest enemy. For it is written: He who does not honor the Son, does not honor the Father who sent him. 3. But we, beloved, let us return to where we came from, crying out in word, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the good and noble shepherd, to willingly lay down his life for his sheep; so that just as the wolves who feed on sheep are caught by the wolf-hunters with a sheep, so also the chief shepherd, by setting himself forth as a man to the spiritual and soul-destroying wolves, might make prey of those who had preyed upon Adam, who long ago was preyed upon by them. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, God against the devil, not openly through his unwatchable power, but through the weakness of the flesh, to bind the strong man against us. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the king against the tyrant, not through his almighty power and wisdom, but through the supposed foolishness of the cross, to plunder the spoils of the serpent who is wise in evil. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the true one against the liar, the Savior against the destroyer, the prince of peace against the warmaker, the lover of mankind against the hater of mankind. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the Lord to save wandering man, to destroy error, to bring light to those in darkness, to abolish the deceit of idols, to introduce in its place a saving knowledge of God, to sanctify the world, to drive out the pollution and curse of the worship of vain things. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, one on behalf of many, to deliver the poor race of men from the hand of those stronger than it, and the poor and needy from those who plunder him. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, to pour wine and oil upon the one who had fallen among robbers, and was overlooked. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, to save us through himself, as the prophet says: Not an ambassador, nor an angel, but the Lord himself saved them.
