of them; and as they were gazing intently, while he was going. Thus, therefore, our body will also be of the same substance as that body, since it is from the same lump; for as is the head, so also is the body; as is the beginning, so also is the end. And Paul, declaring this more clearly, said: Who will transform the body of our lowliness, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory. If, therefore, it becomes conformed, it will also travel the same road, and will likewise be lifted up on clouds. Expect these things yourself also in the resurrection. For since the word of the kingdom was for a time unclear to those hearing, for this reason he went up on the mountain and was transfigured before his disciples, opening up to them the glory of the things to come, and showing as in a riddle and dimly what our body will be like. But then indeed he appeared with garments, but in the resurrection not so. For our body does not need garments, nor shelter, nor a roof, nor any other such thing. For if Adam before the transgression, being naked, was not ashamed, being clothed with glory, much more our bodies, which will advance to a greater and better end, will need none of these things. For this very reason he also, upon rising, allowed the garments to lie at the tomb and the sepulcher, having raised his body 51.353 naked, filled with unspeakable glory and blessedness. Knowing these things, therefore, beloved, and having been instructed by words and taught by sight, let us show forth such a manner of life, that having been caught up in the clouds we may always be with him, being saved 51.354 also by his grace, and enjoying the good things to come; may it be that we all attain to them in Christ Jesus our Lord, with whom to the Father, together with the Holy Spirit, be glory, power, honor, worship, now and always, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
