It is accomplished on earth, and is occupied with the things in the heavens. So let us also, O friends, repent; so let us fast; let us join good deeds with the fast; let us abstain from evil deeds; let us fear the threat of Gehenna; through repentance we will obtain the salvation from God. To Him be the glory, and the power unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Ἐπὶ γῆς τελεῖται, καὶ τὰ ἐν οὐρανοῖς ἀναστρέφει. Οὕτω καὶ ἡμεῖς, ὦ φίλοι, μετανοήσωμεν· οὕτω νηστεύσωμεν· ἀγαθὰς πράξεις τῇ νηστείᾳ συνζεύξωμεν· πονηρῶν πράξεων ἀπεχώμεθα· τῆς γεέννης τὴν ἀπειλὴν φοβηθῶμεν· διὰ μετανοίας τὴν παρὰ Θεοῦ σωτηρίαν κτησόμεθα. Αὐτῷ ἡ δόξα, καὶ τὸ κράτος εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων. Ἀμήν.
