diminishes him; for the insult of a child is the loss of a father. Blessed is he who receives him, and does not meddle, but reveres him without curiosity. This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. O sinners, run to the one who takes away the sin of the world; O condemned ones, lay hold of the philanthropic judge; O you who are dead in your sins, hasten to the fount of life. These are the most beautiful gifts of the festival of the Baptist; all these things the Lord Christ our God, who appeared for our sakes, 50.805 has provided for us; to him be glory and power, together with the Father and his all-holy and 50.806 life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ, δράμετε πρὸς τὸν αἴ ροντα τὴν ἁμαρτίαν τοῦ κόσμου· οἱ κατάκριτοι, κα ταλάβετε τὸν φιλάνθρωπον δικαστήν· οἱ νενεκρωμένοι ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις, σπεύσατε πρὸς τὴν πηγὴν τῆς ζωῆς. Ταῦτα τῆς τοῦ Βαπτιστοῦ πανηγύρεως κάλλιστα δῶρα· ταῦτα πάντα παρέσχεν ἡμῖν ὁ δι' ἡμᾶς ἐπι 50.805 φανεὶς ∆εσπότης Χριστὸς ὁ Θεὸς ἡμῶν· αὐτῷ ἡ δόξα καὶ τὸ κράτος ἅμα σὺν τῷ Πατρὶ καὶ τῷ παναγίῳ καὶ 50.806 ζωοποιῷ αὐτοῦ Πνεύματι, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ, καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
