make complete; You Yourself preserve for us the memory of Your worship. You Yourself send down Your 36.713 all-holy Spirit, that by His holy and good and glorious presence He may sanctify and transform these precious and holy gifts set before us, into the very body and blood of our redemption.
The people say. Let us attend. The deacon says. Amen. The priest shall exclaim. And may He make this bread* become the holy
body of You, even of our Lord and God and Savior, and King of all, Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and for eternal life to those who partake of it.
The people say. Amen. The priest says. And this cup, Your precious blood, that of the new
covenant, even of our Lord, and God and Savior, and King of all, Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and for eternal life to those who partake of it.
The people say. Amen. The priest says and the people respond, Lord have mercy. We beseech You,
O Christ our God. O Lord, fix fast the foundation of Your Church. Root in us the harmony of love. Increase the truth of the faith. Make straight for us the way of Your piety. Strengthen the shepherds. Make safe the ones being shepherded. Give to the clergy good order. To the monks, self-control. To those in virginity, chastity. To those in holy matrimony, a good life. To those in repentance, mercy. To the rich, goodness. To the needy, assistance. To the poor, help. Gird the aged. Discipline the young. Convert the unbelievers. Stop the schisms of the Church. Put down the arrogance of heresies. Join us all to the harmony of Your piety.
The people say. Lord have mercy. The priest says. Remember, O Lord, the peace of Your holy, one, catholic,
and apostolic Church, from one end of the world to the other, and of the orthodox bishops in her, who rightly divide the word of truth.
He shall exclaim. Especially our most holy and most blessed high priest, abba N., pope and patriarch of the great city of Alexandria, and for the surviving bishops, presbyters, deacons, readers, chanters, exorcists, monastics, ever-virgins 36.716, the continent, widows, orphans, laity, and for all the fullness, of the holy Church of God of the faithful.
The people say. Lord have mercy. The priest says. Remember, O Lord, those who have reigned piously. Remember,
O Lord, our faithful and orthodox brethren in the palace, and of all the army. Remember, O Lord, those who offer these holy gifts, and for whom, and through whom they have offered them, and grant to them all a heavenly reward. Remember, O Lord, also those in mountains, and caves, and in the holes of the earth. And of our brethren who are in captivity, and grant peaceful restorations to their own homes.
The deacon says. Pray for the captives. The people say. Lord have mercy. Then the priest bows his head, saying
to himself within himself. Remember, O Lord, also my own wretched and miserable
