a spirit of counsel and might, <πνεῦμα γνώσεως καὶ εὐσεβείας>, a spirit of the fear of God shall fill him". But the passover is the Lord's passover; what did the Spirit cry out more clearly than this, that the passover is not a type, not a history, not a shadow, but truly the Lord's passover? And the blood is for a sign, a sign of the coming truth, the prototype of the true spirit, the imitation of the great anointing. And I will see the blood and I will protect you; you have truly protected, Jesus, from the great destruction, and you stretched out fatherly hands, you have covered us within your paternal wings, making divine blood spring forth upon the earth by your bloody and philanthropic efforts, and you have turned away from us the threats of wrath, and you have restored to us from above the first reconciliations. Let them, therefore, eat unleavened bread for seven days, meditating on the seven-day period in the world and eating the lawful [earthly] food upon the earth; "but Christ our passover has been sacrificed" and we all have received the new leaven of his sacred mixture, having been re-leavened by a greater power and re-mixed with his spirit.
For I indeed the kingdom of heaven itself <**> having leavened with the mixed leaven, in proportion, three measures of fine flour. Therefore from this passover the foreigner shall not eat, for I do not cast the pearls before swine, I do not give what is holy to the dogs, but he who has long been a slave in sins will be circumcised in his heart, and being freed from bitter slavery, he will thus approach the mystery with nobility and then with freedom he will eat the passover freely; "For Christ redeemed us from the" slavery and "curse, by becoming a curse for us." It shall be eaten in one house and you shall not carry the meat outside, for the assembly is one and the house is one, that is, the one church, in which the sacred body of Christ is eaten, and for this reason the meat shall not be cast outside the one house—the church—, but he who eats elsewhere will be punished as impious and a thief. There shall be one law for the free and the proselyte; where Christ is, there is freedom, equality of speech for all, equality of law, equality of honor; all were bought with a precious blood. Therefore "you are no longer a slave," no longer a Jew, but free; for we have all become free in Christ. Listen then, indeed, listen after the types and the legal dispensation what and how great is the sojourn of Christ on earth after <τὸν νόμον>. What is the sojourn of Christ? Escape from slavery, release from ancient necessity, the beginning of freedom, the honor of adoption, a fountain of forgiveness of sins, truly immortal life in all things. Seeing us from above tyrannized by death and at once loosed and bound by the chains of corruption, flowing into the necessary and irreversible road, having come and taken <**> of the first creation in fatherly counsels, he did not entrust the ministry on our behalf to angels, nor to archangels, but the Word himself undertook the entire struggle on our behalf, obeying the paternal commands.
45.2 But since the unmixed divine spirit was in its totality unapproachable, so that not all things
might be affected by the unmixed impacts of the spirit, he, willingly contracting himself within himself and gathering and collecting the whole magnitude of the divinity into himself, came as great as he willed, not being diminished in himself nor lessened nor expended in glory; but by the excess of paternal power what he had, he did not lose, and what he did not have, he assumed, he came as great as was going to be contained. 45.3 But since it was necessary for there also to be some vessel of the divine spirit, so that the first ones of human nature and substance might partake <**> having filtered and numbered, having boiled off and separated whatever was excessive and turbid, and whatever was pure and translucent and sincere he made to shine all around and flash all around and illuminate all around and set on fire and prepared as a bridal chamber and made virginal and, so to speak, made like an angel, into the human

πνεῦμα βουλῆς καὶ ἰσχύος, <πνεῦμα γνώσεως καὶ εὐσεβείας>, πνεῦμα φόβου Θεοῦ ἐμπλήσει αὐτόν".
