has been born, the remedy for the sorrow of Adam. Hail, paradise, a place more blessed than Eden, where every plant of virtue has blossomed, and in which the tree of life has been revealed; by partaking of which we return to the ancient way of life, the flaming sword turning its back, as it is written. Hail, city, the resounding praise of the great king, to speak in the manner of David, 96.697, in which the kingdoms of heaven have been opened, and the earth-born, being enrolled as citizens, rejoice; whose narratives are excellent and wonderful for all tongues and minds, in Christ Jesus who through you is merciful to me, for those things in which I, the wretched and irrational one, have transgressed, extolling your countless praises for to him is due all glory, honor, and worship, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
