with what prayers shall I heal the fracture? or perhaps in this way? XIX. Holy Trinity, and adorable, and perfect, and well brought together and revered by us, yours is the work, yours is the achievement. May You restore these to us again, who have been separated for so long, that they might be disciplined by the separation towards concord; and may You give us in exchange for the toils here the heavenly and peaceful things. And of these the first and greatest is to be illuminated by You more perfectly and more purely, how the same is both understood as a monad, and found as a Trinity; how the unbegotten, and the begotten, and that which proceeds, are one nature, three properties, One God, who is over all, and through all, and in all; neither postponed, nor changed, nor diminished, nor divided; now being comprehended, now being sought, and someday, as much as You are, perhaps to be comprehended by those who have sought well here through life and contemplation; to whom be all glory, honor, power unto the ages. τίσιν εὐχαῖς θεραπεύσω τὸ σύντριμμα; ἢ τάχα τὸν τοῦτον τρόπον; ΙΘʹ. Τριὰς ἁγία, καὶ προσκυνητὴ, καὶ τελεία, καὶ καλῶς ὑφ' ἡμῶν συναγομένη τε καὶ σεβομένη, σὸν τὸ ἔργον, σὸν τὸ κατόρθωμα. Σὺ τούτους τε πάλιν ἀποκαταστήσαις ἡμῖν, τοσοῦτον διαστάντας, ὅσον παιδευθῆναι τῷ χωρισμῷ πρὸς ὁμόνοιαν· καὶ ἡμῖν τῶν ἐντεῦθεν μόχθων ἀντιδοίης τὰ ἐπουράνιά τε καὶ ἀστασίαστα. Τῶν δέ ἐστι τὸ πρῶτον καὶ μέγιστον, ἐλλαμφθῆναί σοι τελεώτερόν τε καὶ καθαρώτερον, πῶς ἡ αὐτὴ, καὶ μονὰς νοῇ, καὶ Τριὰς εὑρίσκῃ· πῶς τὸ ἀγέννητον, καὶ τὸ γεννητὸν, καὶ τὸ προϊὸν, μία φύσις, τρεῖς ἰδιότητες, Εἷς Θεὸς, ὁ ἐπὶ πάντων, καὶ διὰ πάντων, καὶ ἐν πᾶσιν· οὔτε ὑπερτιθέμενος, οὔτε μετατιθέμενος, οὔτε μειούμενος, οὔτε τεμνόμενος· τὸ μὲν ἄρτι καταλαμβανόμενος, τὸ δὲ ζητούμενος, ποτὲ δὲ, ὅσον εἶ, τυχὸν καταληφθησόμενος τοῖς ἐνταῦθα καλῶς ζητήσασι διὰ βίου καὶ θεωρίας· ᾧ πᾶσα δόξα, τιμὴ, κράτος εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας.
