32. That the glorious of the earth and the august in wealth wander around the shadow of things seen, but those who have despised the present things become partakers in unerring participation of the Divine Spirit.
33. Concerning theology; and that those who have kept the "according to the image" trample upon the evil powers of the ruler of darkness, but the others, whose life is impassioned, are held by him and are ruled.
34. That the union of the All-Holy Spirit with purified souls occurs in clear perception, that is, in full knowledge, and, in those in whom it occurs, it makes them luminous like Himself and light itself.
35. That all the saints, being illumined, shine and behold the glory of God, as it is permitted for human nature to see God.
36. Thanksgiving for the exile and the afflictions, which he endured in the persecution against him.
37. (29) Supplication and prayer of the same to God for the sake of His help.
38. Concerning theology; and that the mind, having been purified of the matter of the passions, immaterially beholds the immaterial and invisible one.
39. That the longing and the love for God surpasses every love and every human longing; and the mind of those being purified, having been immersed in the light of God, is wholly deified and thence is called the mind of Christ.
40. Confession of the grace of the gifts of God; and how the father writing these things was energized by the Holy Spirit; and a teaching from God, of what one must do to attain the salvation of those who are saved.
41. Thanksgiving to God for the benefactions that have come from Him and a request to learn for what reason those who have become perfect are permitted to be tempted by demons; and a teaching and an outline spoken by God concerning those renouncing the world.
42. That those who already from here have been united to God through participation in the Holy Spirit, departing from life will be with Him thereafter for ever; but if not, the opposite will then happen for those who are otherwise here.
43. That it is better to be well shepherded than to shepherd those who are unwilling; for there will be no profit for one who is eager to save others, but has destroyed himself through the leadership of them.
44. What is the "according to the image," and how man is reasonably conceived as the image of the prototype; and that he who loves his enemies as benefactors is an imitator of God, and having become a partaker of the Holy Spirit from this, becomes a god by adoption and by grace, being known only to those who are energized by the Holy Spirit.
45. Concerning most precise theology; and that he who does not see the light of the glory of God is worse than the blind.
46. (30) Confession joined with a prayer; and concerning the connection of the Holy Spirit and dispassion.
47. Concerning the intelligible paradise, a far-shining contemplation; and concerning the tree of life in it.
48. That glory and honor for every man who is insulted and suffers evil for the sake of a commandment of God, is the dishonor for the sake of that commandment of God; and a dialogue with one's own soul, teaching the inexhaustible wealth of the Spirit.
49. That there are times when also through the care and correction of one's neighbor the teacher is dragged down into the weakness of the passion that is in that one.
