keep to yourself before 14.23 God. Blessed is the one who does not judge himself in what he approves. _But_ _he_ who doubts is condemned if he eats, because it is not from faith; 15.1 and whatever is not from faith is sin. We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please 15.2 ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, 15.3 for building up; for Christ also did not please himself; but as it is written: The reproaches of those who reproached you fell upon me. 15.4 For whatever was written before was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the scriptures 15.5 we might have hope. Now may the God of endurance and encouragement 15.6 grant you to be like-minded toward one another according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one accord, with one mouth, glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15.7 Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed 15.8 you, to the glory of God. For I say that Christ became a servant of the circumcised for the sake of God's truth, to confirm 15.9 the promises to the fathers, and that the Gentiles should glorify God for His mercy, as it is written: For this reason I will confess 15.10 to you among the Gentiles, and I will sing to your name. And again he says: 15.11 Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people. And again: Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise him. 15.12 And again Isaiah says: There shall be the root of Jesse, and he who shall rise to rule the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles hope. 15.13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. 15.14 Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brothers, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, 15.15 able also to admonish one another. But I have written more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace given 15.16 to me by God, that I might be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified in 15.17 the Holy Spirit. Therefore I have reason for boasting in Christ Jesus in the things pertaining 15.18 to God; for I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished 15.19 through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, in word and deed, in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and around as far as Illyricum I have fulfilled the gospel 15.20 of Christ. And so I have made it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation, 15.21 but as it is written: Those to whom it was not announced concerning him shall see, and those who have not heard shall understand 15.22 For this reason I also was hindered many times from coming to you; 15.23 but now no longer having a place in these regions, and having a great desire 15.24 these many years to come to you, whenever I journey to Spain; for I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may be filled for a time with your company. 15.25 -but now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. 15.26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a certain contribution 15.27 for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. They were pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, they are also obligated to minister 15.28 to them in material things. Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them this 15.29 fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain; and I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ. 15.30 Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in 15.31 prayers for me to God, that I may be delivered from those who do not believe in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem 15.32 may be acceptable to the saints, so that I may come to you with joy 15.33 by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.
