great one, you scatter the night of wickedness; and working wonders by the light of your prayers you drive away swarms of demons, father. 69 To Saint Epiphanius The splendor of your deeds showed you to be a Morning Star at the height of the greatest miracles, from which, flooding forth the streams of dogmas, you are the triumph over all who choose heresy.

70 To Saint Ignatius the God-bearer

Having Christ as love in your heart, you were seen as a companion of the apostles, thrice-blessed one;

and with fervent contests setting error ablaze, with your epistles you are another Paul.

71 To Saint Athanasius Who could tell of the struggles of your labors, O pentathlete, glory of

teachers? For on behalf of God, running like a great giant, wearing the crown you cast down all-evil enemies.

72 To Chrysostom

Pouring forth an unceasing spring of all-golden words, you water the whole world,

blessed one; and opening the doors of salvation to mortals, you send the whole world up to the heavens.

73 To Saint Cyril

Having treasured up divine things in various ways, you enriched the world with inspired words;

and having torn down the profane heresies, you have been revealed a herald of orthodox dogmas.

74 To Saint Gregory of Nyssa Gushing forth an abyss of all-sweet words, blessed one, you intellectually shook off all

error; and being named another great Moses, you lead most excellently the people of the Lord.

75 To Saint Theodore the Sykeote

You, a great gift of God given to mortals, cast down every host of demons, father; for shining forth at once like the morning star, you have been revealed equal-to-the-angels by the height of your life.

76 To Saint Antony

You have been revealed a pillar of fire by the splendor of your life, guiding the world to the path of salvation;

and tripping up the phalanxes of demons, you inhabited the desert, as an Eden of angels.

77 To Saint Hilarion By the splendor of your shining life, you are the morning star shining in the morning;

and brightening the world with the rays of your miracles, you pursue the harmful gloom of the demons.
