and having passed on, embracing humility, you hinder those who wish to praise you. Nevertheless, whether this or what came before, we discharge the debt, as much as is in our power, and we believe that you will not turn away from us, your fervent father-lovers; but you will accept our stammerings as the beloved lispings of children to their parents. And you, standing beside the divine altar, and ministering with the angels to the life-creating and all-holy Trinity, remember all of us, asking for us forgiveness of sins, and the enjoyment of the eternal kingdom, in Christ Jesus our Lord, to whom be the glory with the unoriginate Father and the divine and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

καὶ μεταστὰς τα-πεινοφρονεῖν ἀσπαζόμενος, παρεμποδίζεις τοὺς ἐγ-κωμιάζειν σε θέλοντας. Πλὴν κἄν τε τοῦτο, κἄν τε τὸ πρὸ αὐτῶν, ἡμεῖς τὸ χρέος, ὅσον εἰς δύναμιν, ἀφ-οσιούμεθα, καὶ πιστεύομεν, ὡς οὐδ' ἀποστραφήσῃ ἡμᾶς τοὺς θερμοὺς φιλοπάτορας· ἀλλ' ὡς παίδων προσφιλῆ γονεῦσι δέξῃ ψελλίσματα. Σὺ δὲ τῷ θείῳ παριστάμενος θυσιαστηρίῳ, καὶ τῇ ζωαρχικῇ καὶ ὑπεραγίᾳ λειτουργῶν σὺν ἀγγέλοις Τριάδι, μέμνησο πάντων ἡμῶν, αἰτούμενος ἡμῖν ἁμαρτημάτων ἄφεσιν, αἰωνίου τε βασιλείας ἀπόλαυσιν, ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ Κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, ᾧ ἡ δόξα σὺν τῷ ἀνάρχῳ Πατρὶ καὶ τῷ θείῳ καὶ ζωοποιῷ Πνεύματι, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ, καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
