78 To Saint Euthymius

You made the desert a city of God; for with dense multitudes

of Christ-minded ones; and flashing forth with the rays of miracles, you brighten the whole world like the morning star.

79 To Saint Sabas

You truly cultivated the desert with your labors, most beautifully abounding with various works;

and having filled it with intelligible stars, you run like a sun in their midst.

80 To Saint Dalmatus

As a great star shining forth from the sun, you shine with it all-bright good deeds;

a support † having been born † of orthodoxy, you are archimandrite of the monks by paternal right.

81 To Saint Pachomius

In some way imitating Abraham, O blessed one, you have become the father of many, whose golden

race; and bringing a mystery-initiation from an angel, you have set down laws for your people, like Moses.

82 To Saint Arsenius

Watering your soul with the stream of your tears, you have brought forth fruits

truly incorruptible; and with brilliant prayers speaking fervently to God, you are a great angel of the hesychasts.

83 To Saint Theodosius

Having stretched out your life like a high heaven, you have appeared full of stars in the multitude of your children;

and multiplying the lightnings of your miracles, you have scattered all manner of clouds of demons.

84 To the Venerable Dio

By the splendors of your divinely-shining ways, a bright star from the east

you run forth; and having best enlightened Byzantium, you worthily shepherd the monks as the first among them.

85 To Saint Christopher

Giving his own blood to God, he holds forth, the Christ-martyr, Christ-minded,

Christopher, a fountain pouring out a stream of miracles, drinking from which the sick cool the affliction of their cough, as if it were a thirst, especially whenever they faithfully come here.

86 To the church of the holy apostle Peter

To the one to whom you have given, O Christ, the keys of the things above, to this one have I built this house below.

78 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Εὐθύμιον

Σὺ τὴν ἔρημον εἰργάσω Θεοῦ πόλιν· πυκνοῖς γὰρ αὐτὴν πλήθεσι

Χριστοφρόνων· βολαῖς ἀπαστράψας δὲ ταῖς τῶν θαυμάτων τὸν πάντα κόσμον φαιδρύνεις ὡς φωσφόρος.

79 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Σάβαν

Ἤρωσας ὄντως τὴν ἔρημον τοῖς πόνοις ὡραιότατα ποικίλων ἔργων βρίθων·

πλήσας δὲ ταύτην τῶν νοητῶν ἀστέρων ὡς ἥλιός τις ἐν μέσῳ τούτων θέεις.

80 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον ∆αλμάτον Ἐξ ἡλίου τις αὐγάσας ἀστὴρ μέγας λάμπεις σὺν αὐτῷ παμφαεῖς εὐπραξίας·

ἔρεισμα † δ' ἂν φύναντες † ὀρθοδοξίας μανδραρχαΐζεις τῶν μοναστῶν πατρόθεν.

81 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Παχώμιον Τὸν Ἀβραάμ πως ἐκμιμούμενος, μάκαρ, πολλῶν πατὴρ γέγονας, ὧν χρυσοῦν

γένος· ἐξ ἀγγέλου δὲ μυσταγωγίας φέρων τῷ σῷ λεῷ τέθεικας, ὡς Μωσῆς, νόμους.

82 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Ἀρσένιον Τῶν δακρύων σου τὴν ψυχὴν ἄρδων χύσει καρποὺς ἀνεβλάστησας

ἀφθάρτους μάλα· εὐχαῖς δὲ λαμπραῖς προσλαλῶν Θεῷ σφόδρα τῶν ἡσυχαστῶν ἄγγελος πέλεις μέγας.

83 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Θεοδόσιον

Ὡς οὐρανὸν ὑψηλὸν ἐκτείνας βίον κατάστερος πέφηνας ἐν πλήθει τέκνων·

τὰς ἀστραπὰς δὲ πληθύνων τῶν θαυμάτων ἐσκόρπισας παντοῖα δαιμόνων νέφη.

84 Εἰς τὸν ὅσιον ∆ῖον Ταῖς λαμπρότησι τῶν θεαυγῶν σου τρόπων ἐκ τῆς ἑῴας φαιδρὸς ἀστὴρ

ἐκθέεις· καὶ φωτίσας ἄριστα τὴν Βυζαντίδα πρῶτος μοναστῶν ποιμνιαρχεῖς ἀξίως.

85 Εἰς τὸν ἅγιον Χριστοφόρον Οἰκεῖον αἷμα τῷ Θεῷ δοὺς ἀντέχει ὁ Χριστόμαρτυς, Χριστόφρων,

Χριστοφόρος, κρήνην χέουσαν θαυματουργίας ῥύσιν, ἥνπερ πίνοντες οἱ νοσοῦντες βηχίον καταψύχουσι τοῦ πάθους, δίψης δίκην, μάλισθ' ὅτ' ἂν φοιτῶσι πιστῶς ἐνθάδε. 86 Εἰς τὸν ναὸν τοῦ ἁγίου ἀποστόλου Πέτρου Ὧιπερ δέδωκας, Χριστέ, τὰς κλεῖς τῶν ἄνω, ἔδειμα τούτῳ τόνδε τὸν δόμον κάτω.
