Article 9

1. Le présent Accord-cadre entre en vigueur à la date de sa signature

conformément aux dispositions de l'Article 12 (1) (a) de la Convention de

Vienne sur le droit des traités, du 23 mai 1969.

2. Il peut être modifié de commun accord à la demande de l'une des

Hautes Parties Contractantes, et les modifications entrent en vigueur à la

date de leur signature.

Fait à Yaoundé, le 13 janvier 2014 en deux (2) exemplaires originaux

en langue française, anglaise et italienne, toutes les versions faisant éga-

lement foi.

Framework Agreement between the Holy See and the Republic of Cameroon,

on the Legal Status of the Catholic Church in Cameroon

The Holy See and The Republic of Cameroon

( Hereinafter referred to as " High Contracting Parties")

Considering the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation between

the Holy See and the Republic of Cameroon;

Considering that the Constitution of the Republic of Cameroon establi-

shes a secular state and guarantees religious freedom;

Recognizing the importance of respect for religious freedom;

Taking into account the importance of the action of the Catholic Church

in Cameroon;

Desiring to establish, under Cameroonian law and the norms of canon

law in force, the legal framework of relations between the Catholic Church

and the Republic of Cameroon;

Have agreed as follows:
