RULE 34. That it is necessary to set forth an example of good things to others, each according to his own measure.

Chapter 1. MATTHEW. Learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart. 2 CORINTHIANS. For I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the 31.756 Macedonians, that Achaia has been ready since last year, and your zeal has stirred up most of them. 1 THESSALONIANS. And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit; so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.

RULE 35. That those who see in someone the fruit of the Holy Spirit, preserving everywhere the consistency of piety, and not attributing it to the Holy Spirit, but ascribing it to the contrary, blaspheme against the Holy Spirit himself.

Chapter 1. MATTHEW. Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the mute and blind man both spoke and saw. And all the crowds were amazed and said, "Can this be the Son of David?" But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This man casts out demons only by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons." But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them, "But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you." To which he adds the following: "Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven people. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

RULE 30. That those who keep the form of the Lord's teaching must be received with all eagerness and honor to the glory of the Lord himself; but he who does not hear, nor receive, is condemned.

Chapter 1. MATTHEW. The one who receives you receives me, and the one who receives me receives the one who sent me. And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, as you leave that house or town, shake the dust off your feet. Truly I say to you, it will be more bearable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town. JOHN. The one who receives whomever I send receives me; and the one who receives me receives the one who sent me. TO THE PHILIPPIANS. But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my 31.757 need. And after a little: So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and hold such men in honor.

RULE 37. That willingness according to one's ability, even if it is in the least things, is well-pleasing to God, even if it be from women. Chapter 1. MATTHEW. And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. LUKE. And looking up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw a certain poor widow putting in two small coins, and he said, Truly I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance to the gifts of God, but she out of her poverty put in all the living that she had. MATTHEW. Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the
