will be able to rise, as if some bridle of the conscience lays hold of it when it is aroused, and restraining and persuading it to be moderate in all things. In this way we will be able to find grace with God also; for, The greater you are, it says, the more you must humble yourself, and you will find grace before the Lord. And he who has found grace with God will feel nothing harsh, but even here he will be able with the grace of God to run through all those terrible things with ease, and to escape the punishments laid up there for sinners, with the grace of God going before him everywhere, and making all things propitious for him; may it be granted to us all to enjoy this grace in Christ Jesus our Lord, through whom and with whom be glory to the Father, together with the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

ἀναστῆναι δυνήσεται, ὥσπερ τινὸς χαλινοῦ τοῦ συνειδότος ἐπιλαμβανομένου διεγειρομένης αὐτῆς, καὶ καταστέλλοντος καὶ πείθοντος μετριάζειν ἐν ἅπασιν. Οὕτω δυνησόμεθα παρὰ τῷ Θεῷ καὶ χάριν εὑρεῖν· Ὅσῳ γὰρ μέγας εἶ, φησὶ, τοσούτῳ ταπείνου σεαυτὸν, καὶ ἐναντίον Κυρίου εὑρήσεις χάριν. Ὁ δὲ παρὰ τῷ Θεῷ χάριν εὑρὼν οὐδενὸς αἰσθήσεται χαλεποῦ, ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐνταῦθα δυνήσεται μετὰ τῆς τοῦ Θεοῦ χάριτος ἐκεῖνα ἅπαντα μετ' εὐκολίας διαδραμεῖν τὰ δεινὰ, καὶ τὰς ἐκεῖ κειμένας τοῖς ἁμαρτάνουσι διαφυγεῖν τιμωρίας, τῆς χάριτος τοῦ Θεοῦ πανταχοῦ προηγουμένης, καὶ πάντα ἐξευμενιζούσης αὐτῷ· ἧς γένοιτο πάντας ἡμᾶς ἀπολαύειν ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ Κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, δι' οὗ καὶ μεθ' οὗ τῷ Πατρὶ δόξα, ἅμα τῷ ἁγίῳ Πνεύματι, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ, καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
