RKA (161). ANOTHER CONTEMPLATION ON THE SAME
Another contemplation on the same. Or the conceptions of created and eternal beings, as things that are moved and circumscribed, and as things which admit the principle of what, and of what kind, and how they are. For everything is both movable and created, and for this reason is entirely under time, even if not the time measured by motion. For every created thing has a beginning of its being, as having begun to be, and an interval from which it began to be. But if every created thing both is and is moved, it is entirely under nature and time, the former on account of its being, the latter on account of its being moved, through which by combination the principle of twelve is fulfilled in the manner that has been explained.
RKB (162). ANOTHER CONTEMPLATION
Another contemplation. Or this number indicates moral and natural and theological philosophy, 14Ε_146 as being composed of four and five and three. For the exact philosophy in practical matters according to morals is tetradic on account of the four general virtues. But natural contemplation is pentadic for the reason stated, I mean, the sense which is divided fivefold according to nature. But mystical theology is triadic, on account of the three consubstantial holy hypostases of the all-holy monad, or in which is the holy monad, or, to speak more properly, which are the holy monad.
RKG (163). ANOTHER CONTEMPLATION
Another contemplation. Or universal and most general virtue and knowledge, the one as being achieved here through the four virtues, the other as signifying through the eight the more divine state of things to come, which mystically reveal it, from which the number twelve is formed by composition.
RKD (164). ANOTHER CONTEMPLATION
Another contemplation. Or present things and future things, as the present things naturally admit the number four, which is elemental and material, while future things admit the number eight, which is mystically contemplated upon them, as being the superlative quality of the hebdomadal in time.
RKE (165). ANOTHER CONTEMPLATION
1400 Another contemplation. Or the number twelve clearly indicates the threefold principles 14Ε_148 of judgment and providence concerning intelligible and sensible things. For each of these in itself admits three principles of being that which it is, as has become very clear from many sources to the initiates and mystagogues of the divine who are versed in the highest principles through much exercise in the sacred oracles. Therefore the universally threefold [principles] of beings, when tripling themselves
