wise in your own sight; repay no one evil for evil; take thought for what is noble in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men; never avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written: “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; and if he is thirsty, give him drink. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. TO THE CORINTHIANS 2. We put no obstacle in anyone's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry; but in every way we commend ourselves, as servants of God, in great endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in calamities, in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in sleepless nights, in hunger, in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in genuine love, in truthful speech, in the power of God, with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left, through glory and dishonor, through slander and praise, as impostors, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything. TO THE PHILIPPIANS. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard. and seen in me—practice these things. TO THE COLOSSIANS. If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God; set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. TO THE THESSALONIANS 1. Admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, submissive to their own husbands, that not the

Ἐνδύσασθε οὖν, ὡς ἐκλεκτοὶ τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἅγιοι καὶ ἠγαπημένοι, σπλάγχνα οἰκτιρμῶν, χρηστό τητα, ταπεινοφροσύνην, πραότητα, μακροθυ μίαν. ΠΡΟΣ ΘΕΣΣ. αʹ. Νουθετεῖτε τοὺς ἀτά κτους, παραμυθεῖσθε τοὺς ὀλιγοψύχους, ἀντ έχεσθε τῶν ἀσθενῶν, μακροθυμεῖτε πρὸς πάντας. Ὁρᾶτε μή τις κακὸν ἀντὶ κακοῦ τινι ἀποδῷ, ἀλλὰ πάντοτε τὸ ἀγαθὸν διώκετε καὶ εἰς ἀλλή λους καὶ εἰς πάντας. Πάντοτε χαίρετε, ἀδιαλεί πτως προσεύχεσθε.
