The wise high priest, when the seed of David was being destroyed by Athaliah, hid the last son of Ahaziah, her son, Joash, who also reigned over Judah, being seven years old, and he killed the lawless Athaliah of the house of Ahab. The same Jehoiada lived 130 years, and was buried in the tombs of the kings, because he had restored the Davidic line. Athaliah reigned for 7 years, and Joash was hidden by Jehoiada as a one-month-old. That the elders of the rulers of Babylon came to Hezekiah to inquire about the wonder that had happened in the sky in the turning back of the sun. But he, omitting this, showed them treasures and wealth and the kingdom. But the Lord God was angry, and threatened Hezekiah; however, he transferred the anger on account of his virtue to his descendants. That on account of his impieties Manasseh was taken captive by the Assyrians, and he confessed to the Lord in repentance of his heart, and God returned him to his kingdom, and he did what was right in the sight of the Lord. That in the testament of Hezekiah, king of Judah, Isaiah the prophet says that the Antichrist will hold power for 3 years and seven months, 1.121 being 1290 days. and after the Antichrist has been thrown into Tartarus, the master of all, Christ our God, will come, and there will also be a resurrection and a requital of good and evil. And concerning the same things the prophet Daniel also says in the vision that he saw, and says "I said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the water of the river, 'How long shall it be to the end of the wonders of which you have spoken?' And he lifted his hands to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, and times, and half a time. And I heard and understood and said, 'And what will be the end of this?' And he said, 'From the time of the changing of the continual sacrifice, and the giving of the abomination of desolation will be 1290 days. And blessed is he who waits and reaches 1335 days."
That in the time of Amos king of Judah the things prophesied concerning Nineveh came to an end during these times. And Josephus relates in the 9th book of the Antiquities that Jonah, after being swallowed by the great fish for three days and three nights, was cast up alive on the Euxine Sea. From the 3rd book of the Antiquities of Josephus, that if any of the Hebrews suspects his wife of having committed adultery, he brings an assaron of barley meal, and placing one handful of it for God, they give the rest to the priests for food. And the priest, having placed the woman at the gates toward the temple, and having uncovered her head, writes the name of God 1.122 on a piece of parchment. and he commands her to swear that she has done no wrong concerning her husband. but if she has transgressed her chastity, that the joint of her right leg become dislocated, and her belly having swelled, she should die thus. But if the husband, out of great love and the jealousy arising from it, has been moved rashly because of his suspicion, in the tenth month a male child is to be born to her. And when the oaths are completed, having washed off the name from the parchment, he squeezes it into a bowl. And having brought some of the earth from the sanctuary, whatever may be at hand, and having sprinkled it in, he gives it to her to drink. And if she was accused unjustly, she becomes pregnant and brings her womb to term. But having been false to her husband in her marriage and to God in her oaths, she ends her life in shame, her thigh having fallen away and her belly having been seized by dropsy. From the fourth book of the same, that from Aaron's rod, which was of almond wood, almonds and their fruits appeared. That whoever consecrates themselves, having made a vow, these are called Nazirites, letting their hair grow long and not partaking of wine. And these, when they dedicate their hair and perform the shavings for a sacrifice, are assigned to the priests. and those who have named themselves Corban to God (this means a gift), wishing to be released from the service, are to pay the silver to the priests, for a woman
