and we have become one house of David, all of us together, by your own property, by our kinship with you. You, therefore, are Lord of David, being in spirit, but we are children of David, all of us your divine seed. And when we are gathered together we become one house, that is, all relatives, all of us your brothers. And how is it not a fearful wonder, or how will not everyone shudder, who considers this at all, who learns this, that you exist with us now and forever and you make each one a house and you dwell in all and you become a house for all, and in you we dwell, one, Savior, each one of us wholly with you wholly, and with each single one you alone are alone and above us you alone exist wholly? Now therefore you exist, working all these fearful things in us. What fearful things? Hear a few things out of many: for even if the things we have said are all beyond astonishment, nevertheless, hear now things more fearful than those! We become members of Christ, and Christ members of us, and Christ is a hand and Christ is a foot of me, the all-wretched one, and I, the wretched one, am a hand of Christ and a foot of Christ. I move my hand, and Christ is my hand. (90) For conceive for me the divine Godhead as undivided! - I move my foot and, behold, it shines like He does; do not say that I blaspheme, but accept these things and worship Christ who makes you such a one! For if you also should wish, you will become a member of him, and thus all the members of each one of us will become members of Christ, and Christ members of us, and all the unseemly parts he will make seemly, adorning them with the beauty and glory of the Godhead, and we will become together gods, being with God, not seeing the unseemliness of the body at all, but being made like Christ, whole with the whole body, and each member of ours will be the whole Christ. For though becoming many he remains one and undivided, and to each part he himself is the whole Christ; surely therefore you have known Christ in this way as also my finger and my penis - did you not shudder, or were you even ashamed? But God was not ashamed to become like you, and are you ashamed to have become like him? I am not ashamed to become like him,
