but he also spoke to the soul, and by his works he showed what he said with his words. The humility of this one drew me to compassion and I immediately enriched and quickly glorified him, because I saw him coming to me with his whole soul, because he did not at all turn his mind backward - as many do. Thus therefore, if anyone should come and fall down before me genuinely, - let all creation hear! - I will receive him immediately. But whoever wishes to receive my grace with deceit, and should approach with hypocrisy, or having evil within or trusting in his own works, being possessed by pride or by envy, has no share at all with me, Christ. These things God cries out to you and to all through us every hour. But if you wish, I will also show you clearly from other things here, that it is necessary for you to receive the whole kingdom of heaven, (120) if you wish to enter into it also after the end. Hear God speaking to you again in parables: "To what then shall I compare the kingdom of heaven? It is like, pay attention, a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and cast into his garden, and it grew and has indeed become a large tree." Say then, you who hear, who is this grain? What do you think this is? Speak with boldness! But if not, I will tell you and I will speak the truth:

Ἡ ταπείνωσίς με τούτου εἵλκυσε πρός εὐσπαγχνίαν καί ἐπλούτισα εὐθέως καί ἐδόξασα συντόμως, ὅτι ἔβλεπον ἐξ ὅλης προσερχόμενον ψυχῆς μοι, ὅτι ὄπισθεν οὐδ᾿ ὅλως ὡς πολλοί τοῦτο ποιοῦσιν - ἀπεστρέφετο τάς φρένας. Οὕτως οὖν, εἰ πᾶς προσέλθοι καί προσπέσοι μοι γνησίως, - ἀκουσάτω πᾶσα κτίσις! - δέξομαι αὐτόν εὐθέως. Ὅστις δέ μου μετά δόλου βούλεται λαβεῖν τήν χάριν, ὑποκρίσει δέ προσέλθοι, ἤ κακίαν ἔνδον ἔχων ἤ θαρρῶν αὐτοῦ τοῖς ἔργοις, κατεχόμενος ἐπάρσει ἤ φθόνῳ, οὐκ ἔχει ὅλως μετ᾿ ἐμοῦ, Χριστοῦ, μερίδα. Ταῦτά σοι Θεός καί πᾶσι δι᾿ ἡμῶν βοᾷ καθ᾿ ὥραν. Εἰ δέ βούλει, καί ἐξ ἄλλων δείξω σοι τρανῶς ἐνταῦθα, ὅτι δεῖ τήν βασιλείαν οὐρανῶν λαβεῖν σε ὅλην, (120) εἰ ἐν ταύτῃ εἰσελθεῖν σε βούλει καί μετά τό τέλος. Ἄκουσον Θεοῦ σοι πάλιν ἐν παραβολαῖς λαλοῦντος˙ «Τίνι ἄρα ὁμοιώσω οὐρανῶν τήν βασιλείαν; Ὁμοία ἐστίν, πρόσεχε, τοῦ σινάπεως τῷ κόκκῳ, ὅν λαβών τις τῶν ἀνθρώπων ἔβαλεν αὐτοῦ εἰς κῆπον, καί ἐβλάστησε καί δένδρον ὄντως γέγονεν εἰς μέγα.» Λέγε τοίνυν, ὁ ἀκούων, τίς ἐστιν ὁ κόκκος οὗτος; Τί νομίζεις εἶναι τοῦτον; Λέγε μετά παρρησίας! Εἰ δέ μή, ἐγώ σοι λέξω καί τό ἀληθές ἐξείπω˙
