It should be noted that the concurrent will from another to a different will is indicative of the deliberative hypostasis being consubstantial with the essence of the one who wills. 408 Ps 39,9b Having inscribed it in my ruling faculty. And everyone who has been formed according to the spiritual law would have the law in the heart, that is, in his own state. 409 Ps 39,10.11a A great church is the one composed of great and perfect ones. In this, therefore, he preaches the righteousness that is established through faith in Jesus. And proclaiming this without ceasing and continuously, he will say: I will not restrain my lips. And he himself says: You have known my righteousness, having accepted and made it his own. 410 Ps 39,11c He calls a great congregation the one gathered from all nations, in which, proclaiming the mercy of God and the truth with boldness, he says he has not hidden them. And perhaps he proclaims mercy, indicating the remission of sins that comes through mercy, and truth as that which is contrasted with the shadow. 411 Ps 39,12.13 While I am doing the aforesaid things, You, O Lord, do not remove far your compassions from me, pitying those who are helped by me. For the greatest part of salvation comes not so much from works as from the mercy of God, but the truth also, assisting, guards against being caught by deceit or any other error. For iniquities, like enemies, pursue the one who has chosen to flee them; if therefore they overtake, the soul's power of sight is hindered, with the result that the one caught is unable to see. And perhaps the pursuing iniquities are the evil powers that enact them. And they were multiplied beyond the hairs of my head; that is, the unperceived evils around us are multiplied. With many of these having occurred, being deprived of thinking rightly, we have been forsaken by the heart. 412 Ps 39,15.16 Since the psalm is monoproposic and is spoken from the person of Christ, it must also be said to those who say the Lord has borne only a body, using the phrase 'But a body you have prepared for me', that he also confesses to have a soul, which is indestructible, which they seek to take away, those who erroneously think this, for whom he also prays that they be ashamed and confounded. And just as those who hasten toward virtue have a command not to turn back (for this is destructive), so let those who rush toward evil things hasten to be turned back, rejecting their wicked purpose; for then they will also have shame from perception. Let them receive their shame immediately, those who say to me, 'Aha, aha!' He who accepts sinlessness wishes no one to be in sin. But if anyone should also go astray, he prays that he may be immediately ashamed for the evil things he does, boastfully saying, 'Aha, aha!' 413 Ps 39,17.18a Those who seek the Lord have as the goal of their seeking to find him; in whom, having been found, they exult and rejoice with exultation and gladness. For anyone who has sought and found God also wishes for him to be magnified for himself, loving the salvation of God, that is, the salvation from him or the Savior, the Word. And he loves always and not for a short time. Being weak in acquiring good things, having confessed himself poor and needy to God, he entrusts his care to him, casting his anxiety upon the Lord as upon a guardian.

414 Ps 40,2b The evil day can be the day of judgment in which the one who has shown mercy

God, showing mercy, delivers from all punishment; and perhaps also this entire present life is an evil day in which also the Lord delivers from the things that beset. 415 Ps 40,2b.3a And an evil day may be understood as also the day of punishment. And 'That he may live' means the true life in the land of the meek. 416 Ps 40,3b.4 And he who is prevented from being such as the souls of the enemies are is not delivered into the hands of his enemies. And he will add to the one who has understanding for the poor and needy also the things that follow these: For the Lord will help

414 Ps 40,2b ̔Ημέρα πονηρὰ ἡ τῆς κρίσεως ειναι δύναται ἐν ῃ τὸν ἐλεήσαντα
