and He was wholly in the Father and wholly in the womb and wholly in the universe, being uncontainable, not contracted, not diminished He certainly entered wholly and remaining unchanged He took the form of a servant and being born became man in all things, wholly passing through the womb and having come into the world, wholly again taken up, from whence He was not separated. These things therefore, would you dare to say at all that they happened by conception or in reality, things which are ineffable to all angels, archangels, and to every created nature? (163) For it is truly perceived by the mind, but not expressed at all, nor is it comprehended by the mind in any way completely. How then God and man, man God again and is the Son of the Father, wholly in Him inseparably, and was born of the Virgin and came forth into the world and remained uncontainable, as has been said, by all things? By conception or in reality? Say. Surely now you will be silent; for even if you should wish to speak, your mind will not provide the word and your very talkative tongue will remain idle. But if you should wish to call the divine nature a thing, you must also say what kind, for I do not know. Glory to you, Father and Son and the Holy Spirit, uncircumscribed divinity, indivisible in nature, we all worship you in the Holy Spirit, we who have your Spirit as having received it from you and seeing your glory we are not meddlesome, but in it we see you, unbegotten Father, and the begotten Word proceeding from you, therefore we worship the undivided, unconfused Trinity, in one divinity and beginning and power, amen.

Thanksgiving with theology; and concerning those things for which the divine grace of the Spirit has been named through its energies. (164)

What is this new mystery, Master of all, which you have shown to me, the prodigal and fornicator? What is this great wonder perceived within me and not encompassed by thought, but veiled? For it is seen by me like a star rising from afar and again it becomes like a great sun, having no measure or weight or limit in its magnitude, and it becomes a small radiance and a flame is again seen in the middle of my heart and in my inward parts, turning often and burning all that is inside my bowels and making these things light
