Glossa ordinaria, super Amos 1:2 (IV:358v).
St. Jerome, Ep. 123, Ad Ageruchiam de monogamia (PL 22:1054). As it stands, however, the quotation is from Origen, In Num., hom. VI (PG 12:610).
This quotation differs from our Vulgate, which reads: quae autem sunt, a Deo ordinatae sunt. The Douay version translates: "and those that are, are ordained of God."
St. Gregory, In Evang., II, 30 (PL 76:1225).
See above, q. 12, a. 3, reply.
