overlooks it; for this is a sacrifice to me, this is incense to me and an offering and a gift; but without these things you are worse than the gentiles. You leaders of the bishops, understand, you who are the impression of my image, you who are appointed to converse worthily with me, you who are set above all the righteous, as being in the name of my disciples and myself, bearing the divine character, you who have also received such authority over the common, least assembly, as the Word, who also was incarnate, being God by nature, received from the Father, and having become dual in energies, in wills, in natures likewise, I who exist undivided, unconfused, God-man, and again man-God; for as man I deemed it worthy to be held in your hands, but as God I am altogether incomprehensible to hands of clay and invisible to those who do not see and unapproachable, I who was slain for all, (412) I, the dual one in one hypostasis; You bishops who because of this lord it over all the least ones, as being humble and seated below; You bishops who are far from worthiness, not those whose life concurs with their word and is a seal of their divinely-inspired teaching and divine speech, but those whose life is opposed to their word and to whom my awesome and divine things are unknown, who think they hold bread that is fire, and despise me as mere bread and seem to see and eat a morsel, not seeing my invisible glory; You bishops, the many of the few, the exalted and the ones humbled with a bad and contrary humility, who hunt for the glory of men and overlook me, the creator of all, as a poor and rejected beggar, unworthily touch my body and, seeking to be superior to the many, they enter uninvited inside my sanctuary, and step into the bridal chamber of the mysteries without a garment, of my grace, which they have not yet received, and things which it is not lawful for them to see from without;
