you restored there, where there is no grief, no groaning, no tear, no serpent biting the heel, and you showed an unwearying, untroubled path, the opposite one, the narrow, the one difficult for men to tread or, to speak more truly, being impassable for all. For who was ever able or who of men will ever be able to be in heaven in the body, or even without the body, flying with what sort of wings? Elijah was taken up by a chariot of fire, and before him Enoch, but not into the heavens, but to another place; not he by himself, but nevertheless he was translated. But what are these things in comparison to what happens in us? How at all will there be a comparison of shadow and truth, or of a ministering and servile spirit, tell me, with the masterly and all-working and divine spirit, that which establishes and empowers every created substance? For the others are a creation, but It alone is creator, as inseparable from the Father and likewise from the Son. The three are God, one God the Trinity for so it is. This gave substance to the universe, this created all things, this created the Word and Son of the Father in the world according to the flesh for our salvation, being inseparable from both the Father and the Spirit. And He is incarnate truly by the coming of the Spirit (373) and becomes what He was not, a man like me, except for sin and indeed apart from all lawlessness, at once God and man, seen by all, having His Divine Spirit with His nature, with which He gave life to the dead, opened the eyes of the blind, cleansed lepers, and drove out demons. This one, having endured the cross and death likewise, having risen again in the Spirit, was taken up in glory and renewed the path to the heavens for all who believe in Him with unwavering faith, and poured out the All-Holy Spirit richly upon all who show their faith by their works, and now pours this out abundantly upon such people, and deifies through It those with whom It is suddenly joined, and from men alters them unalterably and shows them to be children of God, brothers of the Savior, co-heirs with Christ, and heirs of God, indeed gods with God in the Holy Spirit,
