to suppose a spoken spirit poured out into the air, not hypostatic nor consubstantial with the begetter; and not to call the holy virgin Mary Theotokos, but the sister of Aaron and Moses; nor to be baptized, nor to keep the Sabbath, nor to follow the legal or evangelical customs, but to abominate the cross and to confess that the shadow of Christ was crucified. And he enjoined them to partake of things universally forbidden by the law, except for pork, and to not use wine at all. Having invented some such myth, he says he has become the key-keeper of paradise, and on the day of judgment, after Moses stands with the Israelites and as transgressors of the law they are handed over to the punishment of fire, Jesus in turn will stand forth [and] deny before God that he said he was the son of God, and the Christians, for daring to attach such a name to Christ and for teaching that he is God and son of God and the word made flesh and crucified, will be handed over to the gehenna of fire. Then he says that he himself has been called very devout by God, so that he is praised for being the cause of piety for the whole nation, and for this reason has become the key-keeper of paradise. And indeed after paradise has been opened by him, seventy 1.741 thousand will enter with him, who are able to rush towards this. And he says that the rest will be judged, and the righteous will undoubtedly enjoy the delight, but those found to be sinners will enter paradise wearing tablets tied around their necks, and these will be called the freedmen of God and of Mouchoumet. And he nonsensically says that there are three paradises in paradise, one of honey, another of milk, and another of wine, so that they may be filled from them with authority. And that women are with them and adorn their hair and minister to their pleasure-loving bodies. Saying that the Jews and Christians, having become wood for the fire, the Samaritans are left behind to carry their dung out of paradise, so that paradise may not stink. And each one, as he has lived, whether in wealth or in poverty and dishonor, will continue in the same way there. This God-hated and all-defiled man, therefore, monstrously declared God to be the cause of all good and evil; and as for the robbers and sorcerers and those caught in other forbidden acts, thus the atheist babbles, God himself wrote it, and he predestined them to die. And one might wonder at so great and lasting a deception of the God-fighter and vain-minded one, or rather, at the extreme paranoia and bestiality of those who even now are enslaved by his error and foolishly consider it strong and divine. For the darkened and unintelligent are clearly blinded to the truly true and holy and God-awarded faith, while the wretched and hard-hearted pay attention to the falsely named 1.742worship and forged words of the impostor. For rejecting and condemning the truly existing God, the one clearly preached and believed through the law and the prophets, the ill-minded and rabid ones lovingly and joyfully accept the anti-god, the madman, the one who is clearly activated and speaking by the Furies. For what God-inspired scripture has given instructions beforehand concerning the impious and delirious Mouchoumet? Or what divine prophet foreannounced him as a teacher of piety? Let them say, then, those who have no share in any sacred thought or remembrance, how is it that while they supposedly gladly accept the prophets from Adam up to the coming of Christ, they deny Christ the God who was expressly proclaimed beforehand by them, but accept the most wicked and vile one, who was not mentioned by them at all, as a divinely initiated and most excellent teacher of the truest faith and as a benefactor
