In the second part of Book III there are four heresies:
The Valentinians reject the resurrection of the flesh. They furthermore set the Old Testament aside, although they do accept the Prophets and whatsover else is susceptible of an allegorical interpretation resembling their own heresy. They introduce certain strange myths, saying that there are thirty names of aeons and that these, whom they consider to be both gods and aeons, were begotten bisexual by the father of the universe. And they say that Christ brought His body from heaven and passed through Mary as through a channel.
Οὐαλεντινιανοί, οἳ σαρκὸς μὲν ἀπαγορεύουσιν ἀνάστασιν, παλαιὰν δὲ ἀθετοῦσι διαθήκην, καὶ προφήτας ἀναγινώσκοντες καί, ὅσα ἄλλα εἰς ὁμοίωσιν δύναται τροπολογεῖσθαι τῆς αὐτῶν αἱρέσεως, δεχόμενοι. Ἑτέρας τινὰς μυθολογίας παρεισφέρουσι τριάκοντα αἰώνων ὀνομασίας λέγοντες ἀρρενοθηλείας τε ὁμοῦ ἐκ τοῦ πατρὸς τῶν ὅλων γεγενημένους, οὓς καὶ θεοὺς νομίζουσι καὶ αἰῶνας. Τὸν δὲ Χριστὸν ἀπ' οὐρανοῦ ἐνηνοχέναι τὴν σάρκα καὶ ὡς διὰ σωλῆνος τῆς Μαρίας διαπεπερακέναι.
