Fragment on the epistle to the Hebrews 1,6 If all created nature worships Christ—for through the angels'

designation he indicates the higher rational nature, just as also in "For to which of the angels did he ever say: Sit at my right hand?" And he himself is above this—and the word of the scriptures forbade to worship a creature, saying, lest looking up to heaven, and seeing the sun and the moon and the 45 stars and all the host of heaven, being led astray you worship them. And as it is forbidden to worship these things, so also other creatures, even if any happen to be more exalted. As has also been said before, it is proper to affirm that Christ is not a creature but the creator, even if for our sake he united to himself the created flesh, endowed with a rational and intellectual soul, and thus is he also worshipped as God by all of creation. 65lem for all things there is a time, and a season for every matter under heaven.
