In Ecclesiasten (fragmenta e catenis)

79 He calls the soul spirit; for it is a choice of what kind of movement of the mind; and David: into your hands I commend my spirit; Lord Jesus, receive my spirit; and in Kingdoms; he says, David did not grieve the spirit of Amnon his son. 80 Because the one end of all such things is vanity; of which an abundance is not found for the future; for when the activity has ceased, the enjoyment has also been wiped away, and nothing is stored up for the future. Nor is any trace of joy or remnant of the past activity of pleasure left for those who take pleasure.
