Oratio in inscriptione psalmorum graduum (fragmenta)

THE ORATION ON THE INSCRIPTIONS OF THE SONGS OF ASCENTS

33 But the Father does not receive acquired glory, being perfect, infinite, incomprehensible, in no need of beauty and of all manner of comeliness. Nor His Word, being God who was begotten from Him, through whom angels and heavens and the infinite magnitudes of the earth and, in sum, all the matters and compositions of created things have come to be; but the man of Christ, being raised from the dead, is exalted and glorified, while his adversaries openly bear the shame. 34 But those who out of envy took up hatred against him and were fenced in hostile array are scattered, as the Word and God worthily raised his own temple.
