Lift up your mind to your God. Desire a life adorned from thence. Walking the earth, do not mind the things of the earth. Give a hand to the poor man lying low. Desire an excellent, adorned work. Seek the delights of the hopes from thence. Let not your tongue speak base things, nor falsehood. Do not become prey to the dragon-demons. Do not by any means travel in the footsteps of the profane. Weep, groan; with tears wash away your stains. Honor the words of wise men and become wise. Love not praise, but blame. Make yourself a sanctified temple. Receive strangers, and feed them hospitably. Abhor oaths, the highwaymen of the soul. Hate wealth and the pleasures of life. Consider the fleeting world as a spider's web. With godly toils, melt the mind of the flesh. Wear the weapons of light instead of purple. Exalting yourself, see that you do not fall greatly. In fear of God, bow your neck. Rejoicing, walk to the dwelling above. Be blamed by another rather than wish to blame. O child, guard these things, and you will be great.
