Precatio in obsessos SUPPLEMENTUM AD LITURGIAM S. CHRYSOSTOMI.

A prayer of Chrysostom for those suffering under demons, and

every infirmity.

64.1061 Let us pray to the Lord. O eternal God, who has redeemed the human race

from the captivity of the devil, deliver this your servant from every influence of unclean spirits, command the wicked and unclean spirits and demons to depart from the soul and body of this your servant, and not to remain or be concealed in him. Let them be put to flight in your holy name, and that of your only-begotten Son, and of your life-creating Spirit from the creature of your hands. So that, having been cleansed from all diabolical vexation, he may live in holiness, and righteousness, and piety, being made worthy of the immaculate mysteries of your only-begotten Son and our God, with whom you are blessed and glorified, together with your all-holy, and good, and life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Εὐχὴ τοῦ Χρυσοστόμου πρὸς τοὺς πάσχοντας ὑπὸ δαιμόνων, καὶ

ἑκάστην ἀσθένειαν.

64.1061 Τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶμεν. Ὁ Θεὸς ὁ αἰώνιος, ὁ λυτρωσάμενος τὸ γένος τῶν

ἀνθρώπων ἐκ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας τοῦ διαβόλου, ῥῦσαι τὸν δοῦλόν σου τόνδε ἀπὸ πάσης ἐνεργείας πνευμάτων ἀκαθάρτων, ἐπίταξον τοῖς πονηροῖς καὶ ἀκαθάρτοις πνεύμασί τε καὶ δαίμοσιν, ἀποστῆναι τῆς ψυχῆς καὶ τοῦ σώματος τοῦ δούλου σου τοῦδε, καὶ μὴ ἐμμένειν μηδὲ ἐγκρύπτεσθαι ἐν αὐτῷ. Φυγαδευθείησαν ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί σου τῷ ἁγίῳ, καὶ τοῦ μονογενοῦς σου Υἱοῦ, καὶ τοῦ ζωοποιοῦ σου Πνεύματος ἀπὸ τοῦ πλάσματος τῶν χειρῶν σου. Ἵνα καθαρισθεὶς ἀπὸ πάσης ἐπηρείας διαβολικῆς, ὁσίως, καὶ δικαίως, καὶ εὐσεβῶς ζήσῃ, ἀξιούμενος τῶν ἀχράντων μυστηρίων τοῦ μονογενοῦς σου Υἱοῦ καὶ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν, μεθ' οὗ εὐλογητὸς εἶ καὶ δεδοξασμένος σὺν τῷ παναγίῳ, καὶ ἀγαθῷ, καὶ ζωοποιῷ σου Πνεύματι, νῦν καὶ ἀεὶ, καὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων.
