Jared, being 162 years old, begets Enoch and lived on for 800 years until the 85th year of Noah; having lived altogether 962 years. Enoch, being 165 years old, begets Methuselah and lived on for 6 years and was translated in the 33rd year of Lamech. ................ ..... having lived altogether 969 years, he died during the flood itself. 83ξ1 Lamech, being 188 years old, begets Noah. Noah, being 500 years old, begets Shem, Ham, Japheth; and he lived on for 100 years until the flood. Ἀδάμ, πρῶτος ἄνθρωπος, γενόμενος ἐτῶν σλʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Σὴθ καὶ ἐπέζησεν ἔτη ψʹ μέχρι τοῦ Μαλελεήλ· ὁμοῦ ἔζησεν ἔτη λʹ. Σὴθ γενόμενος ἐτῶν σεʹ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἐνὼς καὶ ἐπέζησεν ............. ἔτη ιβʹ. Νῶε γενόμενος ἐτῶν φʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Σήμ, τὸν Χάμ, τὸν Ἰάφεθ· καὶ ἐπέζησε μέχρι τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ ἔτη ρʹ. Ἔτους χʹ Νῶε ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐγένετο καὶ ἐπέζησε μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμὸν ἔτη τνʹ μέχρις πγʹ ἔτους Ἕβερ. Μαθουσάλα γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρξζʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Λάμεχ. 83ξ2 Λάμεχ γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρπηʹ· γεννᾷ τὸν Νῶε. Νῶε γενόμενος ἐτῶν φʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Σήμ, τὸν Χάμ, τὸν Ἰάφεθ. καὶ ἐπέζησε μέχρι τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ ἔτη ρʹ. Ἔτους χʹ Νῶε ὁ κατακλυσμὸς ἐγένετο. Ὁμοῦ τὰ πάντα ἀπὸ Ἀδὰμ ἕως τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ κατὰ τοὺς οʹ ἔτη βσμβʹ, οἷς καὶ ἡ ἀλήθεια ἐπιμαρτυρεῖ καὶ αἱ ἀνέκαθεν πάσαις ταῖς ἐκκλησίαις ἐπικρατήσασαι παραδόσεις. Σάλα γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρλγʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Ἕβερ. Ἕβερ γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρλγʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Φαλέκ. Φαλὲκ γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρλγʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Ῥαγαῦ. Ἐν δὲ ταῖς ἡμέραις Φαλὲκ διεμερίσθη ἡ γῆ· διὸ καὶ σημαίνει τὸ Φαλὲκ ὄνομα τῇ Ἑβραίων φωνῇ μερισμόν. καὶ οὗτος πρὸ τοῦ πατρὸς τελευτᾷ· κατὰ τοῦτον ἡ πυρ γοποιΐα συνέστη καὶ ἀπὸ μιᾶς τῆς πάλαι διαλέκτου πολυφωνία γέγονε καὶ καθ' ἕκαστον ἔθνος τῶν γλωσ σῶν διαφορά, ὥς φησιν ἡ θεία γραφή. Μετὰ δὲ Φαλὲκ Ῥαγαῦ γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρλεʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Σερούχ. Σεροὺχ γενόμενος ἐτῶν ρλζʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Ναχώρ. Ναχὼρ γενόμενος ἐτῶν οθʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Θάρρα. Θάρρα γενόμενος ἐτῶν οʹ γεννᾷ τὸν Ἀβραάμ. Ὁμοῦ ἀπὸ Ἀδὰμ ἕως τέλους Ἀβραὰμ ἔτη γτιδʹ, ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ κατακλυσμοῦ ἔτη αοβʹ.
