Fragments on Matthew
1Mt 21, 23 To the deceitful who do not approach to learn, it is inopportune to unfold the deeper things.
2 μτ 21, 28-32 A certain man had two sons, and the first is the nations, whom God the common father called first; for having sown the taught and natural law into their minds, he gave as preachers the things that are seen, but the good order of their soul was confounded upon wood and stones; for 'they said to the wood: You are my father'. Therefore they did not endure being hindered; for they said we do not know the Lord. These therefore, having repented later, went into the vineyard. And when the first refused, the father went to the second, that is, to Israel, who, being called through Moses, said: 'All that God has spoken, we will both do and hear'. who neither did nor heard nor repented later. whom the prostitutes and the tax collectors condemned, that is, the nations.
3 μτ 21, 28-32 The parable wishes to say this, that the tax collectors and the prostitutes, having repented and having done the things pleasing to God, are justified, having been persuaded by John, even if at first they were disobedient to the law, or rather to God. But the Pharisees who say they keep the law in bare words alone are rejected by God; for 'the kingdom of heaven is not in words, but in deeds'; for 'not the hearer of the law, but the doer' is righteous. And the rest with God, these are similar to those who promise to go into the vineyard to work and do not go.

Fragmenta in Matthaeum
